Bug reports
Shows the workflow from the bug-reports use-case page. Record the repro in a window capture, tidy it in the transcript, attach clip and transcript to a ticket. Reuses the Acme checkout-crash fixture.
Setup
- Acme checkout app rigged as in script 02.
- A bug tracker (generic issue form) open in a browser for the final scene.
Scenes
Scene 1. The bad ticket (0:00–0:07)
- On screen. An issue titled "checkout broken???" with the description "sometimes the pay button doesn't work". A comment below reads "Can't reproduce, closing."
- Narration. "Every tracker has this ticket. This is the version that gets fixed."
Scene 2. Record the window, narrate the repro (0:07–0:22)
- On screen. A window recording of just the Acme app. The presenter's other windows are visibly excluded by the picker. The bug is reproduced with narration; partway through the presenter takes a wrong turn ("wait, let me try without the discount first"), then recovers.
- Narration (recording's own audio). "I add the discount code and press Pay… wait, let me try without the discount first… okay, same thing. The console shows a 500 from /api/checkout."
- Capture notes. The wrong turn is deliberate; it gets cut in scene 3.
Scene 3. Tidy in the transcript (0:22–0:35)
- On screen. In the editor, the dead-end sentence "wait, let me try without the discount first… okay, same thing." is selected in the transcript and deleted; the timeline closes the gap. "Remove filler words" is clicked.
- Narration. "Cut the dead ends by deleting their sentences. The video follows the text."
Scene 4. Attach to the ticket (0:35–0:47)
- On screen. Export MP4 from the editor; the file is dragged onto the issue form. The timestamped transcript is pasted into the description field, filling "steps to reproduce" with real steps.
- Narration. "Attach the clip, paste the timestamped transcript, and the ticket contains the exact steps and the exact error. And it's searchable."
Scene 5. Close (0:47–0:50)
- On screen. The closing card reads "Bug reports people can reproduce. Screen Recording. $29 once."
- Narration. "Screen Recording."
