Screen Recording is made by Slipway, Inc., the company behind Skipper. It is coming soon.

We build native macOS software. Screen Recording follows one design rule, which is that your recordings are yours. The app records, transcribes, and edits entirely on your Mac, and sharing goes through your own iCloud account. We operate no content servers, so we cannot access or lose your recordings.

The same rule sets the price. Local-only software has no monthly server bill to recover, so Screen Recording is a one-time $29 purchase, not a subscription.
