Product demos without the retakes

Most of the time spent on a recorded demo goes to retakes, because a stumble at minute three means starting over. Transcript editing removes the retakes. Record one relaxed take, then delete the stumbles as text.

The workflow

  1. Record the app in a window or area capture, up to 4K at 60 fps, with a camera bubble if you want a face on the demo.
  2. Talk through it once. If you misspeak, just say the sentence again and keep going.
  3. Cut the mistakes in the transcript. Delete the bad sentence; the good retake stays. Remove filler words in one click. Captions follow every cut automatically.
  4. Share it. Send an iCloud link a prospect can open in the browser with no account, or export a 4K MP4 with captions burned in for your website, a launch post, or an email.

Why it works

Demos you'd rather keep private

Pre-launch demos are recordings you don't want sitting on a video host. Screen Recording records and edits entirely on your Mac; a demo uploads only when you share it, and then only to your own iCloud. Revoke the link and it's gone. See private by design.

Video

This page's video shows the workflow end to end. The steps it records are written up in the product-demos video script.
